Every woman carries a story
We would like to invite you to participate in a new storytelling project. We're looking for authentic moments in women’s lives: pivotal experiences; quiet revelations; turning points; moments of courage, loss, discovery, transformation, or hard-earned wisdom. The kind of moment where something shifted, and afterward, you saw yourself or the world differently.We’ll help you transform your story into a graphic novel style, with an incredible artist. It will become part of a printed compilation — our wisdom, laughter and tears brought together for us all to share.
You do not need to be a professional writer to participate. Your submission can be rough, unfinished, conversational, or imperfect. We’ll work with you to shape the story for clarity and format while preserving your voice.
Who we are
Patty McGuigan
Patty McGuigan is a successful commercial real estate agent turned author. Patty has co-authored three children’s books, a book of essays about widowhood, and a memoir about her commercial real estate career. Patty also recently founded WHIRLWIND PRESS, an independent authors collective that creates books with unique perspectives for all ages.
We are experts in storytelling coming from a wide range of backgrounds. We have worked together on several publishing projects, and are excited to expand our circle of collaborators through an open call to share your story.
Maria Mayer Feng
Maria Mayer Feng is a storyteller at heart, devoted to transforming cherished stories into heirloom-quality books. For nearly two decades, she has designed luxurious, museum-quality books for clients worldwide.
